We continued our “Value of a Vote Campaign” over the weekend in Maiduguri, Borno State, the “Home of Peace,” where we hosted a town hall discussion with the youths about the upcoming elections and why it’s important for them to participate in the process.

In order to promote inclusiveness, we also had a sit-down discussion with some IDPs in the Gomari Host community, who highlighted issues that are extremely important to them and asked that the new administration prioritize them.

Our goal is to mainstream issue-based political discourse into every citizen’s mind as normalcy and peace return to Borno State while also discouraging the cash-for-vote phenomenon.
